Whether it be me preparing your meals or giving you the tools to do so yourself, my goal is to create a hearty haven amidst the chaos of the afternoon. Taming the midday muddle requires setting aside a dedicated time each week to plan and prep meals, create a menu, make a shopping list and prep ingredients in advance.
It’s simple. Nothing makes me happier than having a table and house full of those I love. That’s right. The best moments often happen when sharing the day around a meal that not only fills our bellies, but our hearts.
In fact, I was recently asked why I would want to spend my time cooking for others. Let me sum it up for you with a recent encounter I had with a little girl who had just enjoyed one of my fresh, homemade dinners. When I asked her to tell me her favorite part of the meal, she didn’t answer with the rolls, sugary carrots or the tasty treat at the end of the feast. Instead, she looked up at me so sweetly and said, “My family was all around the table talking about our day.”
THIS, my friends, is my why.
